Hummus

This is one of those things I like having around.

It comes together quickly, and once it’s in the fridge, it finds its way into meals without much effort - with crackers, vegetables, or just on its own.

Ingredients

Method

  1. Place the chickpeas in the pressure cooker and let them cook till they’re soft.
Once the chickpeas have cooled, add them to a blender.

  2. Add the garlic, tahini, cumin, lemon juice, olive oil, and salt.

  3. Blend, adding a little chilled water as needed to loosen it. Grind it to a slightly runny paste.

  4. You’re looking for something smooth, but not overly thin.
